I've known about this site for a while but never joined until I saw the election being stolen. I live in Florida, and from all appearances we ran a super efficient, clean, honest election that nobody is contesting. Can anybody explain to me why there is not a federal level standard for execution of elections, especially if they are federal level elections? I've seen the complete shenanigans coming out of Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, NC, and Pennsylvania and I'm blown away at the blatant and obvious corruption and incompetence of the people counting our ballots. Please enlighten me....

I can understand that the states can run their own internal elections, but if the states are voting for a federal office the standard should all be the same. It seems that you are creating state-level voter disenfranchisement if you are allowing a shit-hole state like Pennsylvania to run their elections the way we are seeing this happen vs. how Ohio, Florida, Texas, etc, are running clean elections. The presidency is really the only office that matters at the national level, so maybe a separate election run by the federal govt. as opposed to the individual states just for that office? Seems reasonable to me...
I agree it is up to the states but every state constitution has provisions that mandate allocation of electors through the in-state popular vote (with the exception of these morons that reject their own internal voters and give all electors to the national popular vote winner, thereby disenfranchising their own fucking electorate). What I am really trying to get at is that there has to be a way to protect the vote from any political party while ensuring that there is no way that any of those parties can stuff the ballot box just by having a political majority in the precincts they are doing it in.
I'm still having trouble seeing how we are going to stop this. I know myself and everyone around me are motivated, but all I see is the media bullshit pushing the narrative that Biden has basically already taken the election. I'm still very optimistic that election fraud will be uncovered, but I'm not optimistic it will happen before inauguration day. I just want to make sure in 2024 that we can somehow figure out how to neutralize the ballot stuffing happening in the usual suspect states.
So hear me out, I agree with everything you said up to the last three sentences. I truly believe with blockchain or hashgraph technology you could truly not only avoid, but eliminate fraud. I'm not a bitcoin guy by any means, I bought a few different coins a while back just for fun but I'm not some kind of trader, however, I do believe in the technology backing the bitcoin platform as it is basically unhackable. I'm not educated enough to know how to implement it, but somehow there could be a federally run, yet state approved, block chain voting system where all the votes are allocated to only living, registered voters and you somehow have to verify that you are the person you say you are.
I am like you, I hate government centralization, but what I hate more are these corrupt POS's in Philly that think they can stuff every ballot box in town until they reach 99% turnout in the city. That to me is unacceptable, especially when it discounts a fair election like mine in Florida.
Elections were typically handled by the states. But given the events of the last couple of decades, it has become increasingly clear that we need one national standard for ballots, how they are counted and VOTER ID for ALL Federal elections. The states can then conduct their state elections how they see fit.
But Federal elections affect the entire country. We simply cannot have this patchwork quilt of differing standards for national elections. Nor can we ignore any longer the necessity for Voter ID.
There is no argument that holds water against Voter ID. The only reason would be if you are interested in committing voter fraud, as we are seeing today.
Don't you know? National voting standards and voting integrity? das be racist. you be trying to de-franchise my vote.
youz knows i loves disenfrancizing demz votes bro
Because one party utilizes fraud as one of its most basic strategies and resists any steps toward greater election security. Voter ID is racist they say (according to Democrats, minorities are too stupid to know how to apply for any sort of ID), and voter fraud simply doesn't exist. Isn't it great?
Something about it being up to the states. Mitch McConnell blocked a bill that would have done some things
Clause 2, the manner for choosing electors is determined by each state legislature, not directly by the federal government.
Choosing electors is entirely different than the physical process of running an election. I'm talking about ballot security, voter roll purges, election integrity, elimination of precinct specific corruption, etc. Allowing a state to run their own bullshit election allows for a Democrat run shithole to steal a state run election and give electors to whoever they want based on what?
Completely agree. Sorry for the misunderstanding. States and local municipalities can run those however they wish, but for national elections, the FEC should rule.
Umm after this election I think there needs to be a real push to use open software in elections. To the layman that sounds ripe for fraud but no. At any point anyone could check to see if anything malicious or even dunce wasn’t going on. Real time numbers, no back room counting. Hand recounts should be done live streamed with someone holding up the rifle that killed jfk to know we’re still in the same universe
I don't think there is any reason to not use block-chain for elections at this point. It is virtually uncrackable for financial transactions and if you are talking elections held on a single day or over a few weeks it would be virtually impossible (i.e. 10 sigma) for anyone to hack, unless you have a bank of quantum computers and if that were the case who gives a shit because we are probably all dead anyway :)
I retract my statement. Here’s the professional opinion. Sounds good at least haha
