I always like the crosswalk, analogy. We used to have just crosswalks with. LOOK. POINT and WAIT.....then they added flashing lights and LOOKING, POINTING and WAITING went out the window. Hence making people less safe , then when they took personal responsibility for their pwn safety. The dumbing of society, same with safety features in cars, blind spot sensors and back up cameras, the end result, it a worse driver.
