I think it would be a deathblow to show that this was going on even before Trump. A lot of these people would wear it as a badge of honor. But to prove it happened before he was ever in the picture? That would be the icing on the cake.
Also, maybe this will change people's minds on just which party is willing to cheat a group of people to get their way. Maybe people can wake up that the Dems have always been the party that would sell their soul for power.

I think this whole experience has been an existential wake call for just how little control people think they have over their country.

Term limits can fix this. Maybe.
They made a mistake by limiting the Presidential terms, without correspondingly limiting Congress terms.
This altered the balance of power, and insured Congressional corruption.
Either limits for all, or limits for none.
