Why the hell does it seem like software made for the government violates standard software engineering practices.

Oh right, it was intentional.

They chose ELECTION DAY to “upload something” to the voting machines? Sounds completely legit... 🥸 🤡

As a software engineer for a laboratory, any changes I made to the system were logged, validated, and approved before rollout. A copy of the old routine was saved in case it needed to be restored. Dates and times I made the change were logged as "change orders", so we could track who changed what and when.

Surely this company does something similar?

Keep in mind these are the same people who gave an insane amount of money for Obamacare websites , which Kathleen Sebelius had to resign in disgrace for.

Machines were offline in vegas; polls opened 7am, voting wasn't able to start until around 7:30.

We need to stop calling it a “glitch.” It was a feature, not a bug.

Just patching the day of production. Nothing to see here. Let's see the patch notes fuckers.

Machines at some locations in Philly suddenly "went down" on election night too.

America, you all need to ban any voting machine from your elections, pencil and paper is all you need or should use.

Anything else is way too open for abuse and obfuscation.

Wtf I forgot about the fact centers were opening late because they're machines "aren't working"

We need to stop calling it a glitch. The code does what it’s designed to do.

ES&S also needs to be looked at. Significant history of fraud in the early 2000s. Partly owned by Chuck Hagel and just last year, they were accused of audit issues in PA.

https://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/nov/26/philadelphias-voting-machines-challenged-in-federa/

They've also had issues in SC. https://www.pressreader.com/usa/the-state-sunday/20201101/281582358138081

And in Dallas TX, during the primaries, suspicious vote tallying happened with ES&S machines.

This was in Gwinnett County, the same county that flipped blue. One of the most populous counties in GA. The same county that Kamala was campaigning in.
