Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not accept the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.
2 Thessalonians 2: 1-12
Keep in mind because it's never good when people misapply the context of a Bible verse to make it about whatever they want it to be about. This is why I posted a big chunk so you would know the context.
This is talking about the anti-Christ and the delusion that will sweep over people when they believe in the lies of the anti-Christ.
I don't believe Biden is the anti-Christ for various reasons, I'm just posting this to say it's pretty easy to see how this could happen considering what's going on now.
The lies people believe now will pale in comparison the lies at the very end times that people will believe. If this were 1991 no one could imagine a world where people believed your feelings determined your gender.
Now in 2020 it's not difficult to imagine a world where anything can be believed.
Thanks, this same scripture has been coming up in my thoughts lately, especially v. 11-12. Mostly it's because of how many people adhere to MSM narratives that blatantly hide truth more and more, like saying there is no voter fraud. It's awe inspiring to think of God sending a deception to those who want to be evil. Freedom of choice. God will let you take the road to your own destruction if you decide to turn away from Him.
Yeah, it's terrifying whenever God says "Have it your way".
I think it was C.S Lewis who said there are two types of people...those who say to God "Your will be done" and those who God says to them "Your will be done".
That's why Jesus said, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me; yet, not my will, but yours be done." right before he was captured. He knew he could escape his fate but wanted to submit to God's will. What a struggle that must have been knowing how terrible his life was about to get.
Such truth! Good and easy are often in conflict.
Outstanding commentary pede. Ive been trying to inform coworkers who lean christian of this for a while now, while trying not to proselytize to them. Some see it, some dont, some seem iffy.
I appreciate it brotha!
Ephesians 6:12
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Thanks for sharing, God bless.
Thank you, and that Ephesians verse has been one I've had to repeat to myself lately. I find myself struggling not to make people out to be my enemy and remember that it's a spiritual darkness behind it all and I would be just as decieved if not for the grace of God.
This whole election has been tough because I haven't had a good balance, I've been too sucked into the political instead of trusting God that no matter what happens He's in control and He's good and that we're to love our enemies even when it's really hard to.
I could've written this. This week has snapped me back into place. I'm fighting the same struggle, as I'm sure many of us are. He has His reasons to refine us.
My dad can attest to this and I'm young in my Christian walk so I can't personally, as it usually takes a long time, but he says even though he's walked with God his whole life, it wasn't until the past decade where he's really been in consistent prayer, bible study, and fellowship that he's seen the most significant change in his attitude and heart. Many people try to walk the Christian walk on their own and that's a recipe for disaster.
Fellowship holds us accountable and lifts each other up.
Bible study is God speaking to us and filling our minds with what's good and true
and prayer is us speaking to God, the means by which we ask for forgiveness, share our hopes, desires, troubles with God, learn to trust, hand over our worries, allign our wills with Gods will, etc.
Each of these three areas is key. I've seen that it's drawn me closer to God when I do these things, but I haven't experienced the big heart change like my dad has, but he said it took probably 7 years of leading a Bible study to notice a real change. The timing will be different for each person.
So I wish I could say I've been doing these 3 things well, but I haven't lately. But each day is a new chance to. But I acknowledge the wisdom in pursuing these 3 in our walk with God.
So yeah, I'd just encourage you to find a solid Bible study, such as precepts which my dad teaches and I can personally attest to it being solid.
Anyways God bless bro and keep it up! I'm so happy to hear God brought you back to the fold. He did the same for me about 2 and a half years ago.
Thank you and God bless you.
God bless you in your struggle
The nature of the Christian is to struggle. With ourselves, the world, and ultimately God. That is the essence of Christianity; if there is no struggle, no wrestling, there is no growth. This is our free will.
We have all been deceived, and still are in so many ways. By seeing the deception, admitting our faults and flaws, and forgiving others and ourselves, we come closer to Christ.

Amen!
Notice how fast things have escalated in the past decade? Like the enemies of truth are in a rush to destroy the good in us.
Art Bell called that the Quickening.
Yeah, it's escelated like crazy. It's been exponential.
The slippery slope is a fallacy because it's not a slippery slope....it's a slippery drop off a vertical cliff face lol.
Check out salami tactics, use this instead so they can't throw the fallacy statement back at you. Another pede taught me this term.

Will do! Thanks pede!
This is phenomenal.
