Buy some RMA 1155 plates. Ethos Tactical had some in stock as of yesterday. Get whatever carrier you can find in stock/afford. While I hate reddit, r/gundeals and r/gunaccessoriesforsale are great tools for finding gear during these times where everything seems out of stock.

So do I need body armor vest and then a plate carrier on top?
Plate carrier is all you need, plus whatever mag pouches or other accessories you fancy.
For the side plates and carriers do you need 4 of them? 2 for front, left and right, and 2 for back left and right? Or does one set cover you?
