If all ballots have even just a simple micro dot watermark, you could easily store information such as “date and time of printing”, “GPS location of printing”, computer IP address, Unique sequential ID number, etc.
Oddities with any of these data points could be taken as evidence for fraudulent ballot production or collection.
For example, if a ballot was printed after Nov. 2, it’s completely fraudulent.
Or, using the unique sequential ID number you discover that 100 ballots in a row were voting for Biden.
Or you find a bunch of ballots that were printed in Mexico. etc...
