This is like an episode of black mirror or something.

I told my friend I don’t think I’m crazy, but this feels like it could be the plot of a Metal Gear Solid game.

Would that make Trump Senator Armstrong?

ChrisSuperDude 126 points ago +126 / -0

No Trump is Raiden, the blonde badass killer fighting against Senator Armstrong. Plus there’s no way Trump isn’t at least .5 percent cyborg with how hard that dude works

NANOMACHINES SON

OrenthalGMudbone 19 points ago +19 / -0

Hahaha it does kind of work since so many people got blindsided by Raiden becoming the player character and hated him

Just no naked cart wheels please.

cablecar87 4 points ago +4 / -0

as far as I can remember, raiden was a massive crybaby pussy in MGS2. Not a great comparison.

16
Ink-xx 16 points ago +18 / -2

remember the speech about memes, that wasn't accidental. MGS games are something more than just videogames, it almost seems as if they are messages

DONT FUCK WITH THIS PRESIDENT

Senator Armstrong was such a dick

namyak44 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fun fact: if you play to the final boss (Senator Armstrong), he actually states that we will "Make America Great Again!"

It was mainly MGS 2 is what made me think of the MGS comparison. The tone of the last boss fight has a similar tone to today, the showdown on top of Independence Hall between Raiden and Solidis is a metaphor for right now.

MGS2 is what introduced me to the series, and what an introduction it was!!

You shut your whore mouth. Metal Gear Soild 3 is bar none the best!

Covid reminded me of the South Park episode over two factions fighting over "my science is better than your science." With Covid, junk science unfortunately won many victories over real science.

Damnit Kojima, back at it again with these ridiculous and convoluted plots that make little sense. So, you're trying to tell me that this "Joe Biden" character announces being president but actually isn't president and "gives" pre-recorded speeches to a crowd of new Jeeps that don't belong to anyone because Jeep is run by corporatists who want to move their manufacturing to China and China is actually running Joe Biden's campaign in the background but then this "Trump" character is being accused of colluding with China and Russia???? How does that make any sense. So unrealistic, SMH Kojima

Unpacking this kinda made my head hurt, but the laugh was worth it in the end.

39
KingSweyn 39 points ago +39 / -0

It does appear that convoluted.

Deus Ex is a better representation. They even released a virus on the population in order to achieve tyranny.

So you're saying that just like their fraud, it was pretty blatant this was a complete setup too?

(I'd agree with that sentiment.)

Prop guy was added to AOCs list for sure.

Did they film this at an indoor studio somewhere in Hollywood?

12
AvalancheUnited2020 12 points ago +12 / -0

Fox just ran a clip where they said blah blah was the most popular car when Biden began his career and today now it’s the Jeep. He said they’re being parked in front for VIPs to sit in. I thought it was weird they even mentioned it at all. Obviously people are asking questions about it and they’re starting their explaining away

10
MOLOCH_Hunter 10 points ago +10 / -0

Honestly the Jeep thing kind of makes sense but it's weird as hell doing the prerecorded message.

4
SordidPontification 4 points ago +4 / -0

Now that you've all pointed this out, this actually does make sense.

It's like they asked Biden to come up with something that he felt would make for memorable theatrics, and this is the end result: Theatrics that seem disjointed at best and make absolutely no sense.

I’ve been trying to find this post, but I can’t find it anymore. You have the link?

RagAMuffin2 51 points ago +55 / -4

And he didn't even try to attack Trump or conservatives. The speech made no sense. This is an election - he's supposed to be out for blood. How can he be so laid back?

62
Eric-CIA-ramella [S] 62 points ago +62 / -0

It really was an odd speech, more perplexing that it didn't just declare victory there, therefore proving it's highly prerecorded.

bc he knows the fix is in. it's why he never bothered to leave his basement.

It doesn't matter what he says (or tries to say). He is inconsequential. He is the puppet.

They literally said that, "stay in the basement". Terry McCauliff

Terry McAuliffe recorded saying Dems prefer Biden stay 'in the basement

He also knows what small base he does have if full if brainwashed useful idiots, who proclaim themselves to be edgy anti-establishment intellectuals while being spoon fed propaganda from the corporations they claim to be against.

I think they recorded several speeches, in a rare lucid moment for Joe, and then had to roll with whatever almost, kinda made sense in the moment.

The delay was because they tried to get him up and going, but sundowning is a bitch. They didn't have time to reset him before last night.

I doubt he was even awake when they rolled it.

ScullyMully 5 points ago +5 / -0

Isn't he not supposed to be out for blood during an election? Idk seems like most of the time the Presidential candidates didn't hate each other prior to the election

Yep!!! Well said. There was NOBODY in the audience btw, they used the same footage of the cars from two nights ago

35
BestTimeToBAlive 35 points ago +35 / -0

the cars have still been there since tuesday. I saw a pic here last night that someone took during daylight. They're still there.

I'd love for a local pede to take a good look around at this weird Manchurian setup

19
FireannDireach 19 points ago +19 / -0

Nah, the footage was live. It's a car dealership, the cars didn't move, because they weren't sold. LOL.

I'mma keep saying it, Joe's team are the biggest fuck ups I've ever seen in American politics.
