He took a risk to do this so he could destroy the Democrats and expose the media, and fix the election system going forward. Using the new system in 2022 midterms the Democrats meet their maker as without cheating and with this scandal hanging over them they lose the vast majority of their power. The only way to get rid of the Democrats is for people to vote them out of the house, senate and governor jobs and this is step 1.

Find the proximate cause, and the causal chain, in order to mitigate the damage, and remove the causes for the future.
Everyone takes, on their own, their own portion of responsibility.
