ETA: Sorry for the low energy but thought maybe those of us in this boat could help each other and stay the course. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

I have blood relatives (never mind the "friends") gloating and laughing and being extremely condescending and nasty. Holidays? Hell, no. Sit by yourself, Trumpster. Go to the WH if you want Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas presents.

What sort of "candidate" do they follow that would make anyone behave that way towards a family member, or a formerly close and trusted friend? We always had a good relationship before this.

I did not ever, ever treat them this way after Trump won. Not for a second. I tried to avoid politics entirely with them but you can't do that either.

It's like they're trapped in a cult. An evil, evil cult. The first thing any cult does is tell you to cut off family and friends who question the cult in any way. That's what all of them are doing but they are too blind - and too frightened of the cult itself - to see it.

We will be ok. 👍👍 Just try to push past the politics with family. You will always have us.

Sad thing is they think we are the cult. They haven’t had their own ideas in years. Total brainwashing and radicalized by the msm.

I just had it out with a buddy I where he was telling me I'm a brainwashed Trump cultist. What pushed it over the line was comparing us to ISIS. I've got nothing to say to him till I get an apology.

That’s with the purchase and the truth and reconciliation commissions did. They made children disavow their parents and swear allegiance to the state

I'm in the same boat. Almost everyone in my family is liberal and some of them are the major TDS SJW type. I've been one in my family to help people when they need it and be there for them emotionally; and I don't bring up politics and don't antagonize them about anything, but they still feel the need to attack me constantly and spew their hatred. I'll be skipping our family Thanksgiving this year because I know what's in store for me, and I'll be the only conservative there, so I won't even have anyone to back me up, because the only conservative person in my family (a sister) already avoids the family (except for me) because of this negativity. It makes them even angrier because my Dad was Mexican-American, so they think I'm a traitor for supporting Trump. My niece asked me, "Do you want to be deported??!!" when she found out I voted for him, even though I was born in the USA, my parents were born in the USA, and 3 out of 4 of my grandparents were born in the USA. They're nuttier than pecans.

Hold your head high, smile, and tell them they supported and voted for a pedophile traitor to the USA. Then say "not my president" in your best sing-songy voice.

Do NOT feel hopeless and down. I am an American of Indian descent in a liberal state, surrounded by liberal friends who are taunting me (nicely) because Biden was declared as president by all the MSM outlets. I became a US Citizen this year just in time to vote for President Trump's second term. We must have full faith in our president. He has overcome seemingly insurmountable odds numerous times in his life and in his first term. It's always darkest before the dawn, and the best is yet to come. Keep the faith, this is when it counts.

(yes I copy pasted this from another thread where I posted it, but I thought it would help you as well as the other person I wrote this for originally)

That's because you're not an asshole: they are.

They say they're for the underdog, against bullying, and now you see their true selves. That is invaluable. Sad, but invaluable.

This old bitch, Pamela Harriman , kept the devasted Democrats together after the Reagan 49 state tidal wave in 1984.

We see a crooked machine stealing an election after four years of unrelenting hostility.

It's normal be feel sad an demoralized. But look, we forced them to cheat in the most naked way because we turned out, despite the polls, the crooked "news", the lockdowns. We brought the economy back. We did that. They did nothing.

So, steady on. We're not finished, we're just warming up.

We have a country to save from a dementia-ridden crook

There's a reason they said that the Civil War was brother against brother.

It will be a roller coaster ride. Last night I went to bed feeling positive; and then today that sick feeling. If there is still justice and law in America it will resolve in our favour. We are all feeling crappy that the biggest landslide win has been turned into a fake media movie. Don't despair and even if you are not religious say a prayer and believe that Good will Triumph over Evil...for that is what you are experiencing.

Yeah it’s going to be all right. Today feels shitty but many days do since the swamp has gone into overdrive. I really don’t see how this election can stand. There are so many very odd aspects to it to not get seriously investigated.
