I have a math and stats background but this is making me confused. Is it also valid to look at it this way?

  1. Biden gets 1.9 million votes
  2. Assume 100% of the 1.7 dem mail in votes voted for him
  3. He still needs 238k independent votes to reach 1.9 mil
  4. That leaves only 65k independent votes for Trump
  5. Independent mail in votes would then be split ~80/20

Sorry to be doomer, but isn't this the normal ratio for mail in votes?
