I've been closely observing elections since 1996, they've always been able to complete initial counts of all ballots on the first night. Recounts have dragged on, sure -- but never the initial count.
The fact that they say they have to "to go to bed" was an obvious red flag. But literally now they need the WHOLE WEEK?? There just simply wasn't that many extra ballots from the mail, sorry -- there is no good explanation for this.
To me this is the biggest smoke fest from an apparently-fired gun. The second biggest is all the coordinated attempts to prevent observation of the counting from republican poll watchers.
Is anyone else aware of other elections in American history where the initial count took this long?
