Everyone should register as a Democrat. Then, in the primaries, vote for the absolutely worst candidate that can scare up the minimum signatures and money to run. Answer every survey with, "I'm a Democrat and am voting for X." Come the general election, vote for someone else. Become the shape of the cup.

I do that every election. We just have to request either a D or R ballot in the primary. I voted for Bernie this last primary.
