The platoon leader is usually a lieutenant, a company commander is usually a captain. The platoon would have a platoon sergeant, usually a sergeant first class. In the state of Florida, there is a very close tie in the votes (like the difference being less than 600 votes our of over 6 million) and it was enough to get a recount started. That newspaper was printed declaring Gore the victor despite there was a recount and a lawsuit (made to the SCOTUS no less) taking place.
Fast forward to December, the SCOTUS ultimately decided to stop the recount and it resulted in the votes going to Bush, making bush the victor.

Trump should have held up all legislation until the following were achieved:
-100% voter integrity and verification of citizenship / verification of ballot processing -End of birthright citizenship and immigration as we know it
Anything short of this is almost meaningless. Because of these problems they'll eventually gain permanent power and control of our country and undo everything good Trump or any other president/congress has done.
Deep down, ever since I heard about the mail in ballots being mailed to people without them even needing to request them I knew this was going to happen. I was secretly hoping we'd be able to override the amount of brainwashed fools and false ballots.
To be honest, and this isn't the first time I've said this, democracy is doomed. In the modern day, it's actually just not a viable form of government anymore. There are too many deranged people in our society. It also creates incentive for politicians to make promises in order to gain power. Social media is literally a form of mass brainwashing and building a false world -false perception in your mind.

I was looking it up last night and I did see that in CO you get a license marked "NOT VALID FOR FEDERAL ID OR VOTING PURPOSES" if you get a license or state ID as a foreigner, however I wouldn't be surprised if nimrod poll workers allowed such individuals to vote upon presentation of that document.

Arizona results are bullshit. Trump support in Phoenix area had to be at least 70% from what I saw when I was visiting, and what Arizona residents observed. Just the turnouts alone at all Trump's rallies there should make that apparent.

Honestly if I had to vote in 2000 I probably would have voted for Gore but voted republican for house and senate. I think Gore would have baulked at a war in Iraq and probably would have waged a more narrow scoped war after 9/11 and not been quite as outrageous as some of the agenda pushed by Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld. The republicans wouldn't have let him get away with his climate change agenda and the assault weapons ban probably would have expired. Not much would have got done.
He would have probably gone against McCain in 2004 - maybe he would have lost. Problem is my guess is Hillary would have won in 2012.

I think you've raised a very underrated point there. If Florida had taken longer to call, they wouldn't have known how many states they needed to steal until it was too late.

In the state of Florida, there is a very close tie in the votes (like the difference being less than 600 votes our of over 6 million) and it was enough to get a recount started. That newspaper was printed declaring Gore the victor despite there was a recount and a lawsuit (made to the SCOTUS no less) taking place.
Fast forward to December, the SCOTUS ultimately decided to stop the recount and it resulted in the votes going to Bush, making bush the victor.

Hanging chads they used punch cards in Florida and alot of them the chad never fully came off of the ballot and they had to hand recount them and in December the SCOTUS said it was unconstitutional to recount them and gave the election to Bush.
I seem to recall Gore wanted to recount only the counties he knew he had the strongest showing in, while Florida election law said the entire state would have to be recounted...But that's from memory, so...
Florida recount at the time allowed for Gore to request in only some counties, which is what the Supreme Court struck down.

I told him we could take them... they never messed with us, just glared, lol.

Being reminded of this has really boosted my optimism, so thank you for posting. I was 20 and in college when Bush/Gore happened, and it seemed so much more low-key back then. Simpler times I guess. Having 24-7 media really affects the psychological landscape.
Back then, my co-workers and I were actually able to argue about that election with nobody throwing punches or setting anything on fire. Citizens from opposing parties had some decency towards each other back then. However, I think that was about the time things started to deteriorate, and the relationship between the Two Parties began to rot into raw, smoldering hatred.
