I'd go with something more martial, like "don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes". Just sitting there and taking it, and taking it, all for the promise of being able to pay it all back with interest at the end.
For me, I’ve had a lot of instances in my own life of “When God says no, it’s usually not cause he wants to deny you what you want, it’s because he has something better for you down the line if you wait.” This is the perfect way to see it, yes I could’ve had the “OMG I can’t believe trump won again” salt mine but instead God decided to give me the “HE FUCKING WON AFTER ALL OF THIS WHAT THE FUCK CNN AND FAUX SAID BIDEN WON WE FUCKING HAD THIS GUYS” meltdowns which will be like 2016 on steroids.
I'm holding my fire as well. Family is against Trump (case of nonterminal TDS) so I'm not going to laugh until the Supreme Court declares a winner. I'll let them have their fun.
