With Sidney Powell now publicly indicating that Hammer and Scorecard were used to break into state election system computers and change vote totals, will such digital intrusions and alterations be detected and correctable through standard vote integrity measures such as recounts and audits?

After hearing of this from Powell, my summary research on these systems is that they were first used for election purposes starting in 2012, and may have been used twice in 2020, with Sanders as the first victim.

H&S alter tallied results, which won't be reflected in audited ballots. Recounts, I'm less sure about as that seems to involve re-interrogating the (corrupted) tabulator.

I don't know but, frankly, electronic voting has always seemed questionable to me. Too much is left in the dark for tampering to take place without us knowing. I do believe blockchain technology could be very instrumental in solving this problem. We need a fully transparent, publicly accessible ledger of all the votes. When you cast your ballot it would be cryptographically signed with a unique key that only you possess. Then, using that same key you could look up your own vote on the public ledger and verify that it has in fact been recorded properly. I know there's a lot to this I'm probably missing but if the past week has taught us anything it should be that we need to make some serious changes to our ballot casting process.
