I love my fucking country so much. Many people cheered us on, many flicked the bird and told us "f you" as they drove past, a couple times we were threatened by people, and one anti-Trumper screamed obscenities then came back bearing a bottled water and an apology for me! Hell of a day! More in comments I guess!

I got there just in time to see some more religious-related protestors starting to separate ways. Sheepishly asked if they were there for #StopTheSteal and they totally were! They had no signs, or they had just put them away. Not sure. Had T-shirts about Jesus and a need for America to return to God. Turns out they had been there the whole time, and they told me how earlier there were a bit over 40 people there, from noon to 2. Before it had started gently raining. I was showing up right as the rain had stopped. So they left and for about 3 minutes I was the only one. A couple folks arrived. They saw my sign and knew it was the right place. Slowly a little throng developed there with us. At our height we had about 8 people, who slowly started dwindling down in numbers. Folks came and went. I felt so good knowing I was the little tiny stone that stayed down there and gave people that sense of togetherness. Many people were really late like me, and came to hang out 20 or so minutes before leaving who said if I hadn't been there they'd have kept on driving. One lady came as far as Texas, one from Mississippi as well who'd brought her brother. It's crazy how even way after the scheduled protest people were coming together. If I didn't work tomorrow I'd have eaten dinner and come right back!!!! Felt great to be the man to turn a 12-2 protest into a 12-7 protest!!!! Pedes never underestimate the impact you can make from just saying fuck it and going out, and never be afraid to go it alone, never fear getting jumped etc., keep your high energy and be just absolutely jubilant with everyone you encounter! I screamed "I love you!" after the Jeep driver who'd just yelled obscenities and ill wishes at me and he came back to talk and understand me with a bottle of water and apology for me! And during the time there one of the most prominent protestors was actually a very old Latino woman, praying for us and for this country and for the people to see the light and turn to God. It was so beautiful. God bless America.
Pics of both sides of my sign, the capitol bldg, and the little flag some wonderful woman gave me.
