Umm, you think weβre just stationed there for the hell of it? Iβll never understand why leftists in Korea who clearly hate the U.S. and are angling for a love affair between their own country and fucking China even bother pretending that there is common ground with Trump supporters in the U.S.
I'm not familiar with the UCMJ but Trump is still acting President and Commander in Chief. Is there an article of the UCMJ against showing support for the CnC?
I know you can't campaign politically while in uniform. I remember during Occupy a black guy in a Navy uniform confronted cops and got slapped pretty hard about for it.
The UCMJ is an extralegal set of rules designed to punish people in the military. It is actually unconstitutional because it overrides the constitutional protections of due process and eliminates many constitutional rights.
IF the UCMJ limited it's punishments to job-related punishments, such as loss of promotions, defrocking, and being fired, it would be fine. But there is an entire penal system within the military based on UCMJ courts that sentence imprisonment. This is so outside of the Constitutional protections every other American has, it is amazing it is still allowed to exist.
This is why a sailor who took a selfie on a submarine goes to prison but Hillary never even saw a judge for sharing highly classified information on a home server.
I believe in a strict code of punishment within the military, because it is vital to have one. But it should not be outside of the Constitution. Military members are citizens of the United States and deserve the same rights and freedoms and due process that anyone else has.
And yes, I am a veteran. No I was never punished under the UCMJ.
I can guarantee you that was not done by The US Army. It may have been done by a member of the US Army. You people all need to understand that army officers are educated in American universities, the higher the rank, the more time they have spent in university. Before you become a major, you typically achieve a master's degree somewhere. Officers are probably 50 to 70% leftist. The enlisted is a whole different story.
Edit to add: US Army officers absolutely will order the troops to fire on conservative militants. You might find a very few high-ranking officers that would not obey those orders, but many of them would. US army officers are all products of the American educational system, they all have at least a bachelor's degree. Most of them are slightly brainwashed.
and that's how a civil war starts. many infantrymen will tell you the only correct answer when your CO orders you to fire on your own countrymen is to turn your weapons on your CO.
Can confirm. Served with enough of them to know most of them are rotten (not all). I know for a fact, bunch of the officers I know voted for Biden and gloating about it on Facebook as we speak.
Oh yes, many of them are full on raging anti-white supremacy conspiracy theorists. If you spend enough time in the American educational system, you either have to resist the programming, or buy into it fully.
Everyone knows that the Enlisted service members of our Armed Forces are mostly patriotic peers, the problem is the neocon/lib globalist officers and generals that have been appointed by Obama/Bush
What the previous commentor said. You can tell as there is no kana between the characters. Japanese uses the same characters in the kanji system, but has hirigana and katakana to separate the words since they don't use spaces.
The tweet is in traditional Chinese by someone with a Chinese name.
The base is Camp Humphreys in South Korea.
The use of traditional Chinese indicates she is from Hong Kong or Taiwan - based.
Watch as more military forces follow suit
The Belgian Minister of Health looks like she ate Rosie as an appetizer
These banners are put up a lot and are done by the Koreans. They are very supportive of the US presence in South Korea.
Came here to say this
This was koreans
I thank their support but they should be defending their own country.
We're there as strategic placement more than defending their country. We do it in dozens of countries. Don't make it sound like a bad thing.
Totally agree Korean isn't like the EU they actually do there part also doesn't south Korea have conscription and has quite a decent military?
Yes, everyone must do mandatory time in the military. I think it's something like 4 years.
Used to be 3 years I believe... (back in the 70s') now down to 2... but they still have mandatory military services for men.
Oh good, that means we'll be getting some SC pros back sooner than I thought.
I believe you are correct on both questions.

Now unlike Israel.....these people are the real deal
Israel wants American troops to fight Iran. The last Mossad psy-ops (most likely)...did not persuade Trump thank goodness.
Trump has like 80% or higher support with the troops. He gave them like three raises and all kind of other stuff.
Peace. Peace is the prize.
That's some top tier /MaliciousCompliance/
Pretty cool, but doesn't this violate UCMJ?

I don't see any campaigning here. I see support for our president during a tense time.
I didn't know that! Makes sense though when you think about it.

abso-fucking-lutely
as soon as you could defile the uniform while in uniform, doing simple things like supporting your country ceased to be a problem
It's the "I'm not touching you" defense.

It is every soldiers duty to refuse unlawful orders.
Yes, you obviously have to obey your superiors in the military. Now in a true civil war type scenario......
Can confirm. Served with enough of them to know most of them are rotten (not all). I know for a fact, bunch of the officers I know voted for Biden and gloating about it on Facebook as we speak.

wasn't there a blood moon over the white house the other night? just an observation
This just in: the Military Ballots for US forces in the ROK were... Lost in the mail.
They have been outside Humphreys pretty regular.
That looks Japanese, but not sure.

Bet there's no SJW transgenders in that army
Soldiers of God!
But, but, but.....Trump said they were losers and suckers according to the left!!
They think the military will remove him from power. The military would install him as President for Life if he wanted.
the military won't. the soldiers will.
The military is its soldiers. The country is its people. Institutions have no reality beyond that of the people who comprise them.
Nice :D I'm here in Korea, good to see :D
I wonder how our military forces feel about their absentee ballots getting thrown in the dumpster while chinese agents replace them?
BASED BASE
No, it's outside the wire; this isn't from the troops. And it SHOULDN'T be.
You do not ever bring the uniform into politics.
Lets GOOOOOOOOO!!
Its long overdue!
