But he was also alpha AF but wanted to save a baby. It was technically a helmet, not a mask. I get what you’re saying, but it had the least obvious Woke bullshit of any recent show.

That's not woke bullshit, Mandalorian started before the Kung Flu. Mandos, even pre-Disney canon typically wore their helmets more often than not.

That was actually one of the (many) things that annoyed me about the prequels, is thanks to Jango happily cavorting around without his helmet on all the time, we now know what Boba looks like. In the EU, there were always rumors about what Boba looked like, because he was never seen without his helmet.

Tales of the Bounty Hunters(Bantam Spectra, December 1996, anthology) has one scene in it where someone is excited to find out how he deals with food, only to discover his helmet has a built-in straw.
