Yup - No one understands that the ELECTORS actually cast the ELECTORal college votes. This is how it was done early on but has adapted over the past 200 years to follow what the citizens vote for. I do not think it states in the constitution that they have to follow what their citizens want.
There is this small thing called the electoral college. Seems they've forgotten that the electors haven't voted, yet.
