This is why the left wins in the end. You've bought the big lie: That CO2 is a pollutant.

They repeat it over and over. And you believe it.

It's not a pollutant, it's a greenhouse gas which is a natural part of our atmosphere. But shift the balance and the climate changes. It's going to change with or without us but we can at least stop accelerating it.

It's really not a lie, man, and the left isn't winning me over because I'm still not voting for them. The Overton window is shifted more toward environmentalism but that's not a left wing thing.

Higher CO2 is a byproduct of increased temperatures, not a cause. That's the part they won't tell you.

How did you come to that conclusion, pede?

I'd have to dig up all the sources again, but it's fairly well researched at this point. Historical trends show the increases in CO2 are a result of temperatures rising, not what causes temperatures to rise. That's why the propaganda always says "during periods of high CO2, temperatures were higher" because that focuses on after they've both risen while ignoring that temperatures rise and then CO2 rises.

In fact, high enough CO2 is what triggers the planet to go from heating to cooling. How could it also be what causes heating?

It's not a pollutant, it's a greenhouse gas

It's a HIGHLY FRINGE greenhouse gas that only absorbs a miniscule portion of the light spectrum, meaning its effect tops out quickly and has huge diminishing returns.

You simply have no idea of what you are talking about. The whole global warming scam is based on a 'TIPPING POINT' where CO2 causing a little rise in temp creates more water vapor, which is an ACTUAL major greenhouse gas.

Co2 contributes up to 26% of the total greenhouse effect despite having a concentration of only 400 ppm in the atmosphere. It's concentration is so small there's plenty of returns left for it to give. It will easily increase the temp of the earth's surface a few degrees over the coming years which is a major problem. Every degree melts the ice caps a little more which releases even more CO2 plus methane which is an even worse greenhouse gas in addition to a whole other host of issues.

You are correct that water vapor accounts for the majority of the greenhouse effect, but the balance is delicate enough that atmospheric carbon can easily tip the scales toward disaster. Not in 20 years or whatever the fearmongering shitlibs are saying, but it'll be a problem eventually. And as I said, this will all happen eventually anyway, but we can stop accelerating it. We need to buy time for our descendents to figure out a more permanent solution.

Got any good links? I will say climate change is the flimsiest aspect of environmentalism, or at the very least the most exaggerated and abused. Luckily GEOTUS is doing a great job tackling other forms of pollution and protecting our great national parks! 🇺🇸
