Even 86% exceeds the turnout in mandatory voting nations. 86% is a statistical impossibility that turnout was that high anywhere in the US. To put this in perspective, many US states have a literacy rate that is lower than 86%, because getting that many people to do something is so hard to achieve. It’s just a tremendously high number.
When I do this math I come up with 86%. What am I missing?

I got the same number. Not a good look for a purported data expert to mess up like that :/
