Can someone tell me:

Is it ok to store your magazine fully loaded, or is it better to take one bullet out to relieve pressure on the spring. I have heard both. Thank you!

It is perfectly fine to store your magazines fully loaded.

The loading and unloading of them is what places stress on the spring and causes wear.

And stop worrying about your mag springs. In 5, 10 or 20 years, if your springs feel sloppy, replace them. It's a couple bucks.

Unless you're here in California where you can't buy "high capacity" springs online...

Not if it has the capability to make your mag capacity more than 10. A few years ago we could "import" magazine kits online, or go to a lgs to pick one up. Now if it is a 15 rd spring it can not be imported or sold in the state. They make followers for real magazines that we can't get because a lot of 10 rd mags have a 1.5 inch follower instead of the .5 inch 15 rd follower. Can't buy the oem follower in this state. It's absurd.

Luckily I was able to purchase a lot of standard capacity mags on freedom week a while ago. But good Lord, they make it tough on us be be lawful.

I did a lot of research on this when I first started really getting into it and most people say it is totally safe to store them fully loaded. One guy pointed out magazines from world war 2 being found and firing perfectly. The ammo as well, as long as it's stored properly. These magazines for the shield I honestly have to keep fully loaded to loosen the spring because some come very tight. Only time I hear it's recommended to keep one less is on the long extended mags. Some use the same exact spring as the regular magazines which means less power.
