Why not T-Rex?

I'm no dinosaur enthusiast, so my knowledge is pretty much from movies. Think of this as from the common (wo)man's perspective.

T-Rex's are big and cumbersome and supposedly can't see you if you don't move. They're easy to see coming because of their size. They're only scary if you think they'll eat you and because of their size they'd only go after certain kinds of prey. Why would they eat something that can barely pass as a toothpick for their teeth?

Velociraptor's are smaller, have functional hand-claws, and are fast. They can get into unexpected places due to their size and their teeth AND claws are deadly. They are also harder to hear coming, supposedly smarter (than the T-Rex) and deadly in both herds and singularly. They can go after big prey together but can also be satisfied with smaller stuff, making them more dangerous to all prey-type animals.

I don't know, in terms of raw danger, I've always considered velociraptor's more of a threat.

You are way off on the T Rex. It could reach top speeds of 35-40 MPH. It is named the Tyrant Lizard King because all creatures lived beneath its dominion.

It was about as “cumbersome” as a Kodiak Grizzly Bear.

I'm imagining a great 'your mom's cumbersome like a grizzly bear" joke here.

Not inaccurate. My mom loves salmon, sleeps alot during the Winter, and has claws like steak knives

I'm gonna take your word for it. I wasn't joking when I said I didn't know much of anything about the subject. I stand by the ignorance I professed right from the start and leave more knowledgeable dino-lovin' pedes to hash out the details, lol.

That's true. In Jurassic Park the Velociraptors were smart as hell.
