I see a lot of folks talking about how they are going to cut all libs from their lives. Guys, you never know when a red pill may strike. I’m a former liberal, a pants-on-head retarded vegan communist liberal. I was the kid in highschool who went around piously listening to NPR, who made fun of the troops, and who wouldn’t SHUT UP about “no war for oil.” I was the girl in college who monopolized every class with shrill communist talking points and who insisted that 9/11 was our own fault because of our foreign policies. I enthusiastically yelled down all opposition. I really believed all of these actions were helpful, noble, and truthful.

My long term boyfriend (now husband) was a militant communist and actually MAJORED in Feminist Studies. He was red pilled by Charlie Hebdo and started to have some questions about Gamer Gate. And I was starting to see what he was talking about.

By this time I’d just managed to figure out that Hillary was batshit but I hadn’t made it all the way to the Trump train. Even though I was hazy on how a massive immigration induced population boom could benefit the environment, I voted Green in 2016. That night, seeing the BS election coverage and the appalling media bias I regretted my choice. On election night in NYC I ended up celebrating Trump’s win, drinking 14 Old Fashioneds, dancing in a bar with my boyfriend and some random bro from New Jersey, and partying so enthusiastically that I got yelled at by some skinny white boys who were “scared for their lives.” I voted straight Red in 2018 and did so again in 2020.

All I’m saying is, don’t write off all the libs. Even the crazy ones, maybe especially don’t write off the crazy ones. You never know if they’ll do something crazy, like become a Republican. The everyday lib is being lied to. The media, the schools, the colleges - it’s all a rigged game and it’s hard to see the strings if you are in it. But more and more people are noticing the wires each day. The common libs aren’t your enemies. The people pulling the strings are.

HOLD THE LINE, FRENS. Don’t get bogged down by the confused karens on facebook joyously crying over their photos of Kamala. Keep looking to the undermine and expose the corrupt machine. But don’t write off all the cogs, some people are going to figure it out. And when they do, those former libs are going to wish they had a conservative friend around. I know I do.
