so, the key thing to remember about dead people voting is that they are not the real problem.

They are the visible tip of a very bottom heavy iceburg.

because the big opposition to the idea of mass mailing ballots to literally every registered voter was the accusation that a huge percentage of those will arrive at incorrect addresses.

Because a lot of voter rolls records are out of date.

The defense to that argument basically amounted to 'sure. But people wouldn't use them to cheat - it's a crime and they know they will get caught."

These dead people returning the ballots is evidence that people would in fact, use those mail-in-ballots received in error to cheat.

But the percentage of cheaters can be reasonably extrapolated to all the other potentially out of date records on those voter rolls.

Whether or not they were rejected, a massive coordinated effort to commit voter fraud must not go unpunished.
