Malaysia once did that exact thing to Singapore. The difference is that it was about ethnicity rather than economics, and Singapore was the champion of economic freedom so it did very well.
USA's secession is about ideology, not race. Vermont is 100% blue.

Maine once seceded from Massachusetts. West Virginia from Virginia. Etc. Every municipality or county should be free to vote what state (existing or new) they want to be a part of.

I personally believe "mega" states need to go. The constitution gives states all the power but states have gotten to big. It's difficult to represent the people of your state when there is no longer a homogeneous political spectrum.
the guy has the right idea but his map is wrong. we get to keep florida, georgia, alabama, louisiana, texas, south carolina, north carolina, ohio, indiana, oklahoma, kansas, nebraska, kentucky, tennessee, south and north dakota, iowa, wyoming, idaho, montana, west virginia, at the very least, other counties that would like to leave their liberal shithole states are welcome as well like all of south and southwest virginia, all of PA minus philly, east california, east oregon, east washington, as well.
I think we should look at counties / municipalities / precincts, not whole states.
Most states (excluding extremes like Montana and Connecticut) are a political war-zone between Demonrat-run cities and the less densely populated areas where the sane, family-oriented people like to live. 🤠

Secession means a win for the globalists. Divide then conquer.
Just the opposite. Secession means a win for local self-determination and individual freedom. Globalists depend on large nations (like those on the UN security council). It's a lot easier to herd a hundred cows than a million cats.

False. Lincoln's war of aggression against the massively popular and (initially) peaceful Southern secession is not a legal precedent - it is the greatest war crime in this nation's history! It was literally worse than Hitler invading lands that were stolen from Germany, because those lands popularly wanted to rejoin Germany!

USA supported secession all over the world: breaking up the British Empire, Spanish Empire, French Empire, Dutch Empire, Austrian Empire, Japanese Empire, Soviet Empire, Yugoslavia, the partition of India (creating Pakistan and then Bangladesh), etc, etc, etc.
Peaceful secession happens all the time. Malaysia evicted Singapore. Czechoslovakia split into Czechia and Slovakia. Red & blue counties of the United States should do the same.
