If you can't homeschool then you seriously need to do deprograming before and after each school day. [Did both can recommend - kids turned out ok] Told my kids that there was truth and then there was what teachers wanted to hear. Their job was to get good marks, discern whether they agreed with what was being taught or not and never doubt themselves, but keep their opinions to themselves. [7 to 12 year olds can't fight teachers...so you have to arm them and tell them their own thoughts matter....] My son told me years later that that saved his sanity.
