This kind of protest would have more effect than simply marching on city hall.

And DO NOT advertise you are stocking up. We don't want a situation where people come to your residence to take supplies.

Afeazo 23 points ago +23 / -0

If you aren’t stocked up on non perishable foods, you should be because why not? Either hard times come and they prove to be very useful, or hard times do not come and you finish them over the next several years.

I’m not just talking about going out and buying a $2,000 doomsday 30 day meal kit. Zero reason not to have a enough dried pasta, rice, and canned foods to last at least a month. White rice pretty much has an infinite shelf life if frozen.

Buying a nice $200 rice cooker was one of the best "accessory" kitchen appliances I ever got. Literally just wash the rice, add water to the line, and hit the button. Perfect rice every time. You do not have to buy a nice one, a $30 one will do good.

I still can't believe I was buying a side of rice for $2.99 at my local asian restaurant every time I ordered take out. For $3 I can buy a 5lb bag of rice that will last me like 30 meals. If you eat rice with one meal a day even a $200 rice cooker will pay for itself in 2-3 months. I eat rice a lot because it is just a cheap and easy way to get full.

Even that Uncle Bens or that rice in a cup that comes in the same containers as macaroni and cheese is a rip off. Humans have been eating like shit the last 80 years or so, everyone should be trying to eat like your great grandmother did. My grandma lived a fairly hard life, grew up in the midst of an aftermath of the First World War, lived at the Germany/Poland border during WW2 on the polish side, lived under communism for decades. Basically did not even know what healthcare was until she moved to the USA in the 1970s. Yet on a diet heavy on red meat, butter, and bread, she made it to almost 100 before she died.

We even got a laugh at her funeral because we went out to eat after and the restaurant slathered an insane amount of butter on the bread they gave out as an appetizer. Someone said "Look, grandmas favorite meal"

I had a completely different name at reddit for several years but still this man tells the truth. The only people who want to know you are stocking up is the enemy or potential enemy.

HockeyMom4Trump 2 points ago +2 / -0

Or buying up all the food before we get to it. Will grocery shop tomorrow.

Lol, It won't be but for a few weeks. I'm not sure it'll turn into that kinda deal.

4
Knight1_of_Sunset 4 points ago +4 / -0

Everyone's a few missed meals from a revolution and savagery, and a "few weeks" is at least 21 days, more than enough time for a man to go mad with starvation if he haven't died already.

3
TrustingGod 3 points ago +3 / -0

& most grocery stores have ~3 days of food, for normal demand... Combine that with people no longer having large pantries/cellars, especially in the cities. There will be missed meals by day 2...

If the truckers stop everyone stops. No food. No gas delveries. Dark winter indeed, but the cities would be fucked by the end of it and maybe learn a lesson about raping the republic.

Been stocking for weeks at advice of this site.
It may not be a lot but better than if I hadn't.

Thathurtsmyfeelings1 15 points ago +17 / -2

May be an unpopular opinion.... but I don't like this idea. Truckers provide us with everything and have my undying support. But, before we all have to suffer from a completw economic shutdown, let's see what happens with the courts.

There is still plenty going on that will change the outcome. Let's not bring it all to a screeching halt and turn the country into a Mad Max movie just yet.

14
Food4thought [S] 14 points ago +14 / -0

That's why it's not till the end of the month. If things look good, they may pull out.

11
Cyrus 11 points ago +11 / -0

I've heard rumors if the 11th having one in DC where all truckers block the highways and shut the city down. And then a more nationwide one on the 29th.

2
AKviking14 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is correct.

1
Ferrous_Tarkus 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's IN TWO DAYS. Holy shit they're moving fast!

5
kuru_clinton 5 points ago +5 / -0

it's november 29th so maybe that will give time for good to happen. if the cucks get mad when trump wins they should shut down and not deliver to their shitholes

I’ll have to disagree with you there. My father in law and his brother own a trucking company with 29 trucks and they are already planning to participate in this.

You should learn the history of your profession. We shut down for three days in California just because fuel went to $2. Trucks on the road were getting shot at. The yellow vest movement was started by Truckers, French ones, but you probably think the French are pussies. Enjoy your safe space, comrade

You strike when there is lack of action. Let the Trump team do their thing, then if nothing resolves go ahead and strike. To do this and mess with our nations supply chain hurts all the good people, whom are the majority, in an attempt to turn the screws on the libs? That gains nothing positive and aids no message, so what is this other than childish protest?

1
Food4thought [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

the end of the month.

Stocking up more tomorrow. Thanks

2
Grillervative 2 points ago +2 / -0

I stocked up 4 months ago. We're good.

2
RyanUpCreek 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is why they are warning us now while the idiots are celebrating a lie. They still might stop if there is rioting in Phoenix, Atlanta, Detroit, Madison/Kenosha, Las Vegas and Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg when Trump is legitimized. Either way there is going to be a shortage of food.

2
emperors_apprentice 2 points ago +2 / -0

Say hypothetically I've never prepped before and I don't know what to stock up with, what should I buy?

2
Dev404 2 points ago +2 / -0

Really depends on your budget. Most common are canned items (soup, fruit, vegetables, spam) and water. If you've got money to spare, there are businesses that focus on emergency food preparation like Patriot Supply or Valley Food Storage that have meal buckets for weeks or months. They are a bit backordered the last I checked so expect delays. Their foods just need hot water to cook/rehydrate the ingredients. Outside of food, creature comforts like toiletries, hygiene products, and first aid (bandages, OTC painkillers, fever reducers, hydrogen peroxide, etc.). This might be getting a little too much, but it's not a bad idea to have this stuff always available because emergencies don't always come with a warning first.

Neveragainnora 1 point ago +1 / -0

I was a former city apartment dwelling homesteading mama (fancy words for dirt poor). So...... Flour, sugar, canned things (I prefer veggies, cream of chicken, cheese soup, fruits, tomatoes paste & evaporated milk), powdered milk for drinking, and dried meats. I'd make the jerky from scratch out of cheap chuck roast. Oh, and rice! These went a long way when things got tough for us. Oh, and don't forget to buy a hand crank can opener. It's much easier than a P38! Learn basic cooking while your at it. Just stick to meat, veg & a starch. It's not 5 star but it'll fill the belly.

You dont have to go crazy with it, just throw a few extras in your cart when you go to the store. I tend to double up on things every now and again so I got a good rotation of food. My family comes from real salt of the earth, farming, OG backwoods folk so it's a habit for us. My elderly parents still shop like that to this day and they live in a large very nice suburb.

1
ModernKnight 1 point ago +1 / -0

Way ahead. Stocked up early this year. Neighbors and friends don't know. But I'm in a more rural area, so most everyone is stocked up here anyways, except for the demonrat transplants.

1
geotusdisciple 1 point ago +1 / -0

Fucking do it now!

WhyWhyWhyWhyWhy 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you haven't stocked up by now, you are a rookie. Everyone should have been reading the tea leaves before now.

1
Muttsbitetoo 1 point ago +1 / -0

We should keep it on the down low

1
Ferrous_Tarkus 1 point ago +1 / -0

Be smart about it Pedes:

Don't do all of your shopping in one place.

Do it after dark if at all possible.

And don't forget ammo for when the crazies come out of the woodwork.

1
AKviking14 1 point ago +1 / -0

My father in law and his brother own a trucking company and they both said they were gonna participate in this. They own I believe 29 trucks.

1
I_have_lady_parts 1 point ago +1 / -0

Interesting... my dude is in the trucking industry... manages multiple states operations. He voted for the first time in his life last week because the higher ups told him we do better with repubs office... but also because im crazy maga. Cant wait to see what he says about this tomorrow.

Food4thought [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

November 29th. I'm not sure how long, but everything stays parked.

0
AmericanGuy 0 points ago +3 / -3

This is a stupid fucking idea. Good people are going to suffer.

0
Food4thought [S] 0 points ago +2 / -2

Yup. You are right. Much better to have a full scale civil war and get crushed by the very state we created.

0
AmericanGuy 0 points ago +2 / -2

So to prevent a civil war we have to create a food shortage during a pandemic? Obviously the virus is a hoax, but the city mandates have caused people to be in fear, and now we get a food shortage causing more chaos. Call me whatever you want, but this is a really STUPID FUCKING idea.

2
Food4thought [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm not going to call you anything... you sound upset already. I'm more worried about medical supplies than food, but that's just me.

3
AmericanGuy 3 points ago +3 / -0

If I'm upset, it's because people are so angry at the deep state they are willing to sacrifice the well-being of good people to get what they want. I know families who will be hurt by shortages. They can't financially 'stock up', and many more will suffer.

-1
Food4thought [S] -1 points ago +1 / -2

Ummm... I'm intimately familiar with them too. Most of "mine" have a TV, smoke cigarettes, and drink booze every night. A week or so isn't going kill em.

2
AmericanGuy 2 points ago +2 / -0

Don't you dare pretend to know the people I know. We tell liberals not to label all white people as evil, yet you claim all poor people are unwise with money. Fuck you.

-1
Food4thought [S] -1 points ago +1 / -2

I didn't dare... I just don't care. If you are so screwed up that you can't hold your shit together for a week without being able to call in a favor from a friend... then I don't know what to tell you.

-1
RedPillRGV -1 points ago +2 / -3

Trump should reach out to them to keep rocking and rolling and that he gots this. Having supply chain disrupted, even for one day could be disasterous to our economy and I'm sure Trump doesn't want anyone economically hurt on his account.

3
Food4thought [S] 3 points ago +4 / -1

Lol, I have people talking about civil war... what effect do you think that is going to have?!

-4
MAGA_mantis -4 points ago +4 / -8

Not a good idea. Big tech will then push for automation truck drivers and they will be replaced.

11
Tx50bmg 11 points ago +11 / -0

They’re already pushing for it, so that shouldn’t dissuade these patriots.

10
Mr-J 10 points ago +10 / -0

lol whos gonna transport all the oil and parts to build the auto-trucks in the next year?

6
Fluffy_Indigo 6 points ago +6 / -0

If it goes that far then unless they're guarded by the military they're not going to make many deliveries.
