They usually are, but if you catch them with their pants down (in this case, the turnout for Trump being much higher than they expected, probably at least in part because they bought into their own fake news polls) they will go into "panicked flailing" mode.

Leftists often don't have "worst case" contingencies, so if SHTF for their plans they're just throwing shit out as soon as it comes to their (so-called) mind.
