ZH has always struck me as inherently doomerist. Like the answer is always going to be "you are fucked unless you buy gold now," no matter what the question is. They can be aligned with the truth when the truth is bad - in this case, a long contested election is 'good' for instability (buy gold!) - but they are just posting whatever looks doomy (buy gold!) so I don't think they actually care.

Whenever anything breaks in the world they are all over it like a hobo on a ham sandwich, but you have to imbibe ZH with care.
