I wrote the following email and sent it to my state legislature rep and senator. Feel free to borrow it!
Mr. xxxxxx,
I am emailing you today to convey my extreme disgust with the Governor over his latest round of edicts surrounding the so-called COVID-19 response.
Several key points, which should at least be entertained if not considered obvious to anyone not blindly swallowing the mainstream media narrative, expose this so-called pandemic as a psyop:
Testing methods have proven to be unreliable, generating vast amounts of false positives. This figure is possibly as high as 90% according to a recent article from the New York Times. Even conservative estimates of 50% reliability are normally considered atrocious by the medical and scientific communities.
Hospital capacity, nationwide as I understand but definitely within southern Utah, has never been a problem.
Over all demographic groups, the virus has a case survivability rate in excess of 99.5% for those under 70. (CDC data)
The entire "pandemic" has a well-documented history of deliberate manipulation and misrepresentation of statistics. I say deliberate because these are not simple mistakes that any self-respecting statistician or scientist would make:
The conflation of 'deaths with' (~240k) and 'deaths from' (~14k). Only about 6% of purported fatalities occurred with no identified comorbidity, and the deaths "with" COVID-19 category is filled with individuals whose primary cause of death was completely unrelated to the virus and included suicides, drug overdoses, vehicle accidents, and victims of violent crime.
The focus on "cases" when the case hospitalization rate has been fluctuating between 5 and 10%. This means 90-95% of supposed confirmed cases are asymptomatic or recovering without hospital admittance. The "case" count is displayed as a cumulative value, meaning it does not subtract those who have recovered and are no longer active cases. This results in a perpetually increasing number, with minimal statistical value.
It is my firm belief that the vast, overwhelming majority of the impact American society has suffered from COVID-19 is a direct result of government-mandated economic shutdowns and social controls, both of which are legally questionable and morally dubious given the actual, demonstrable threat posed by the virus itself. Once the media hype and fear-mongering is removed, what's left is the simple fact that COVID-19 is merely the latest in a string of flu-like illnesses originating from Asia that have affected the United States over the last 20 years. It can be argued that COVID-19 is the "deadliest" of these flu-like illnesses, yet the average American is still 2.5 times as likely to die in a car accident as they are to die from COVID-19.
I am not a legal expert, but I am highly skeptical Herbert's orders are constitutional and do not create undue burdens for a majority of Utahns, especially given the low risk level for the majority of the labor force. While certain measures should be taken to limit risk to individuals with underlying health issues that may result in a higher probability of serious illness or death, we cannot simply throw our way of life and God-given rights to the wind. The trade-off between freedom and security is often best described as a continuum. It is not the government's place to choose for the citizens where they are to reside on that spectrum. That choice is one that each individual citizen must make for themselves.
I urge the legislature to investigate and challenge the grounds on which these emergency orders continue to be unilaterally issued by the Governor. As for myself, I will be looking into options to challenge these orders in court. If you are aware of any entities making or supporting such efforts, please respond with thier contact information, or forward this email to them on my behalf.
Thank you and God Bless, xxxxxxxx
Feel free to do what you want with it. Copy-pasta it, modify it, use it in other states even!
Also, I'm 100% serious about the lawsuit thing. If anyone knows a lawyer or other entity in Utah who wants a piece of Herbert's ass, let me know. I want to help however I can.
It's Cox now, isn't it ? Not Herbert.
Cox is currently the Lt. Gov. Herbert did not run for re-election. Cox ran and won this year. He has yet to be sworn in.
