Thank you. Using a desktop computer I'm discovering there are so many smartphone zombies out there the Internet itself is becoming difficult to navigate. Since I had a hand in creating it the first time around, I think I'll start building a new Internet that -- specifically -- doesn't work on smartphones. They'll only get a blank page. Like old USENET discussion the average IQ will be immense.

Ah well to be fair, the website itself was beautiful. The annoying parts were the exclusive mobile scrolling ads and the lock of full features behind an app that you have to download and pay a subscription for.

Here's a tip for the web devs that are trying to reduce navigation difficulty: As long as you don't intentionally neuter mobile functionality for the sole reason of selling more app supscriptions, you will probably be A-OK

You're right of course. But I'd still like to play the rabid old geezer who emerges from nowhere and starts breaking kids' toys with websites that are faster loading than fast-loading apps simply because they don't throb and attack the back end with 100 parallel loads and recursive dependencies. "Internet, just like it used to be, with no arr-tee-ficial preservatives!"
