So I may be able to explain some of the suspicious ballots from the Lehigh county data. I had initially registered to vote by mail around the time of the primaries because I was anticipating to be out of Lehigh county.

When the general election rolled around, I received an email from [email protected] on October 7th, saying that my absentee ballot was on the way. I received it about a week later, filled it out the day after, and sent it back via mail.

I waited for about 2 weeks, and checked back on the status of my ballot every day. For reference, the website had said that the ballot was sent out on October 10th or something along those lines (I don't have screenshots of this piece of it, sorry!). In this interval, my ballot was never marked as "received"

On October 20th, I received another email from the same address, saying that my absentee ballot was on my way. I saw on the PA voter services website that the "Ballot Mailed On" date had changed to 10/19/2020. I immediately called the number in the email (610) 782-3194, trying to figure out what was going on (as well as what happened to my ballot).

The line was pretty jammed on the 20th, so I called back the next day. It wasn't easy to get someone to talk to, and it took about an hour and a half before someone picked up. When I asked about what happened, the representative tole me that one of the managers screwed up and pressed something they shouldn't have, and that because of this, there was a cascading update that happened to the "Ballot Mailed On" field.

The rep told me that they had my ballot after doing identity verification, and told me they'd process it right away. I hung up, and later in the day, I saw their "ballot tracking" page update, and show that my vote was recorded on the 21st.

So, based upon what happened anecdotally, it is conceivable that some voters may have dropped their ballot off before that manager made their "mistake". This might be why we see that some "Ballot Received" and "Ballot Mailed On" dates don't match up. Still, they didn't provide much detail regarding what happened with that manager... Still a lot of questions left unanswered.

Would be happy to provide screenshots of the emails if anyone would like to see. I can also show my own ballot status results if you'd like.

Chain of custody problems there. If they don't have change audit trails etc, then those ballots should be bunked.

In short, in order for change to happen there needs to be consequences for their inept behavior period.

Demand better.
