If you are employed by the government or a business makes the majority of its money on government contracts you should forfeit your right to vote.

They are voting in a sense to work for an, arguably, needed machine. (Its way overblown but there are some aspects of government that I admit are needed.)

Additionally if you're in the military you do not get to vote, this part might be a bit more controversial but they 'voted' to work protecting the machine.

Its like the sheep and wolves voting on what's for dinner. Also, while I'm all about states rights; perhaps for a federal election; to protect integrity the election officials for each state should not actually be comprised of people from that state but instead people from all the surrounding states. Not to make rules or anything, they come in to staff the election following the laws of the state; but as they are not from that state and are a group of truly diverse people they will not have the same stake and will be more able to clearly follow the rules.
