In all fairness, depending where you may live, it's not considered "self defense" if the person is retreating. So they can come onto your property, threaten and/or physically assault you, and turn tail and run away. Taking what we know about most of these noodle armed fucks, this is their M.O., and once any weapon or form of defense is shown toward them, they will almost definitely piss themselves and turn and run. I'm assuming that's where the "possibly" came from. All I'm saying is dont turn yourself into a target, we all saw what's happening to Kyle, and that is 100% undeniable self defense with video to back it up.
I have the same laws in my state, but I can almost guarantee there would be a shit show if the state could make a case against someone who defended themselves if the aggressor was even thinking about retreating. You're absolutely right about the betrayal, but I have alot of good law enforcement around me. It's the people above them (prosecutors, judges, etc) that I would worry about. I'll reference Kyle again, you see what's happening there. Just stay safe and leave no questions about motives/actions.
