I think 2016 was an unprecedented year for Libertarians. I heard a lot about Johnson, never heard anything about Jorgensen. The tone in 2016 among a lot of people was "both options are terrible" so turning to a 3rd party was more popular. A lot more people (myself included) were aware of the stakes this time.

I am a libertarian and didn't vote for Trump in 2016, I did in this one.
