I think the vaccine is real. I have a co-worker that signed up for the trial, has had 2 doses, and is going in for an anti-body test this month. This was the Pfizer vaccine. It's a blind study, with a placebo, but he did get a fever after taking the first dose, so he probably got the real deal.
It is possible it is real, but most likely the virus has already infected millions of people that didn't even knew they had it, the herd immunity took a longer period thanks to the lock downs but have already minimize the strength of the virus, the people that should take this or any vaccine are the old people and people in risk. Young and healthy people before taking the vaccine should first take a test and they will get to know if they already had the disease or not.
