yeah he lost his marbles around the time blm started kicking up. something about "obey the law" which is a joke towards people who make the argument that if people would just comply with officers they wouldn't get shot.
lucas saw that as a form of "oppression" in that we shouldn't just "obey the law" in every situation. not to say i agree, but i can see where he was coming from at least.
unfortunately, he began to spiral into looneyville from there in order to defend the narrative he started with, even in the most egregious cases. it really hurt to see it, he was one of my favorite conservatives.
ah well.
