Sorry if this isn't the place for this question, but I cannot find this information anywhere. My father-in-law passed away in March. My wife thinks he 'voted' but we cannot confirm it. He resided in NYC and the NYC Board of Elections website shows him as an 'active' voter. Does anyone know how we can go about determining whether a vote was actually cast in his name? Had he been alive he'd have certainly voted for GEOTUS. It would be quite upsetting to see that he voted or, even worse, voted for Quidprojoe.

most states just need a name dob address and maybe the last 4 digits of SSN to check status online

I checked that. It shows him as 'active' but it does not indicate whether or not a vote has been cast.
