If Republicans in the house want it, they should be able to push it through. They currently hold a 109 seat majority. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pennsylvania_House_of_Representatives

The Emperor, oops I mean Governor and/or State Supreme Court will probably try to poo-poo it, but they lack Constitutional authority to do anything about it. Trump will win Pennsylvania.

Yeah, Biden's lawyers can't do anything about this.

The salt in that twitter thread...

21
Proda 21 points ago +21 / -0

Mix of salt and smug cluelessness

N7fury 16 points ago +16 / -0 (edited)

Saw one faggot say they know that's not how that works right hurr durr. That's exactly how it works. Fucking clueless. This mouth drooling horde is a product of long-term brainwashing by the media and academia

14
leakmouth 14 points ago +14 / -0

What is he afraid of? If Biden really won fair and square then they have nothing to worry about

6
N7fury 6 points ago +6 / -0

Because they're definitely afraid of what they're going to find. Oversight, transparency, an audit of the process and verification of legal ballots, clear and careful tabulation should be something both sides agree on. There's no logical reason to fight it unless you have something substantial to hide

2
UhtredRagnarok 2 points ago +2 / -0

Straight facts. If you have nothing to hide, you won't mind transparency in what is supposed to be a fully transparent process

4
Proda 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yup

3
RussianAgent13 3 points ago +3 / -0

The legislature IS the law. When it comes to electors, the legislature can send the republicans who pledged Trump regardless of what their election board certified. I haven't looked into what the penalty is for being a faithless elector, but it's probably just a fine.

2
Magastreammedia 2 points ago +2 / -0

Smug cluelessness could not be a more apt description

Just out of curiosity, what is the breakdown of Republicans and Dems in the PA state legislature? Are there enough R's to ensure that we win if it comes down to them picking the electors?

Great to hear, thanks!

Can the Governor veto their decision?

7

3
-BeardedLurker- 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nice.

4
SomeGuyOnTheInternet 4 points ago +4 / -0

Governors and state judges don't make election law nor certify elections, state legislators do.

1
-BeardedLurker- 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thank you. This whole process is very confusing. I saw in the twitter comments people saying the governor would veto. I was pretty sure he couldn’t, but thank you for the confirmation and explanation.

SomeGuyOnTheInternet 2 points ago +2 / -0

Article II Section I of the United States Constitution if you are arguing and need a source.

"Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors...."

8
Hyphenated-American 8 points ago +8 / -0

Republicans have a solid majority in the House and Senate, but the Governor is a Dem

17
Morokei 17 points ago +17 / -0

Too bad the US Constitution doesn’t give election powers to the Governor but only the Legislature lol.

True the Supreme Court in PA is what got us into this mess. Legislating from the bench like cucks

3
MexicanBeerFlu 3 points ago +3 / -0

The same ones who declared prior to 2018 that the congressional districts were racist and flipped 4 districts to the Dems. Don't know why they weren't racist for the previous 8 years following the census or that they couldn't wait until the new one :shrugs:

4
Morokei 4 points ago +4 / -0

Isn’t done working yet. There are increasing sounds of life as in this headline.

1
Taupkek 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thank you!

1
Magastreammedia 1 point ago +1 / -0

What role does the governor play in this? Cus that's the way it's set up in michigan as well.

1
SomeGuyOnTheInternet 1 point ago +1 / -0

but the Governor is a Dem

Irrelevant.

2
Cakes4077 2 points ago +2 / -0

Solid R in WI and MI too.

2
SomeGuyOnTheInternet 2 points ago +2 / -0

Both state houses are solid R, we are going to win Pennsylvania.

GOP Republicans need to stand with Trump if they ever expect to win a future election. They have to win this one

4
SickIcarus 4 points ago +4 / -0

Can the PA Sec of State certify the election results without the legislature? (Barring an act of SCOTUS).

4
Folignofavorite71 4 points ago +4 / -0

No bc state legislatures certify electors

2
SickIcarus 2 points ago +2 / -0

So the SecState could certify the election, but the legislature could override that by certifying the electors themselves?

3
Folignofavorite71 3 points ago +3 / -0

I don’t think the secretary of state has any power with elections. I may be wrong tho

2
SomeGuyOnTheInternet 2 points ago +2 / -0

You aren't, ONLY the state legislators have power over elections

2
RussianAgent13 2 points ago +2 / -0

Correct. (well dont know about sec of state, but whoever certifies it)

The legislature will look at the overwhelming fraud and send the Trump electors. There might be fines for electors voting against the "certified" results, but perhaps those can be overturned too.

Who's call is it to approve/deny audit? I'm not privy on state process for these kinds of things.

What would happen if it's denied?

2
SomeGuyOnTheInternet 2 points ago +2 / -0

The state legislator. It won't be.
