I think it's wise to be apprehensive about trusting anybody in government at this point, however think of it like this
If Gorsuch rules in favor of the Democrats, he's committing career, and possibly literal, suicide. When the Dems seize power they will do everything they can to prevent any non Democrat from ever being elected to any office in the country ever again, and when they have done that they will expand the size of the SCOTUS so that all Justices, including Gorsuch, would have significantly less power and influence than they have right now. Furthermore, I highly expect every Judge ever appointed by President Trump to be given a Nuremberg style kangaroo court sham impeachment trial.
Gorsuch, by virtue of how he came to be on the SCOTUS, has a target on his back. Any Justice appointed by a Republican President would, at the end of the day, be right to consider it self-preservation to rule against Biden and the Democrats.
Don't forget who we are messing with. These are the same people who had the family of the federal judge over the ghislaine maxwell case murdered. And then suicided that killer. They likely had Scalia murdered too. This is why they laugh off SCOTUS orders.
