It's good the way it is, we should be pushing for in person voting and voter ID if anything. I would like someone smarter than me to tell me the drawbacks of nationalizing the election rules and procedures to prevent liberal governors and legislatures from creating favorable rules to game.
Silly thing is we just passed (within the last two or three years anyway) the deadline for states to meet requirements for their driver's licenses and ID's in order to assist with air travel. Every state had to rework their ID's to ensure safe air travel. Seems like an easy way to upload and check against a national voter database.

Well we have voter ID in Georgia, yet the cheat went forward. Something else happened here.
