I got rid of TV when obama was elected because I couldn't stand the thought of seeing his face on TV accidentally. So I'm out of the TV loop. I have one now because my sister talked me into it, but I can barely navigate it. I have a Roku on it, but I just don't watch. I'm always online and uninterested in TV.
My father, on the other hand, doesn't want to go on his computer. He watches regular TV. I do not want him watching Fox anymore. What can I get onto his TV besides OANN? How do I get BlazeTV? Newsmax TV? Real American's Voice? Any others? Salem Media Group? Does Right Side Broadcasting have TV? This is an emergency. Thanks.
Newsmax is on my Comcast. That is what I switched to. Not sure who his provider is but it may be on there.
He drives me crazy. If he perceives any kind of misbilling or whatever, he gets aggravated and switches providers - TV, phone, insurance, whatever he can get his hands on. He had verizon which had OANN, but IDK what happened.
My Samsung smart TV has online channels that's has newsmax! I got the q6 but I'm sure all smart TV has online channels
Thanks. He has a bunch of TVs but I'm not sure of the brand yet.
I think Pluto TV has a roku app which Pluto TV has OANN, Newsmax, and Real American's Voice.
Thanks.
Most are smart TVs and Roku have YouTube. Get him into some of the YouTube videos that you watch or alternative news sources like Tim pool, salty cracker, Dr. Steven Turley, or many others – depending on what type of thing he’s used to. That may be a good option because he can watch what he wants when he wants without commercials, and he can stop the shows and eat or go to the bathroom, and then come back and continue watching. He may find some other interests while he’s on there as well to keep him busy.
But is there a way for him to watch youtubes without real effort? Like I don't want to just provide him with youtuber URLs, he'll never do that. If I made an account of the best youtubers, can he just watch them without effort? I never watch youtube on the tv.
Yes - set up an account for him. Then go through and subscribe to a half a dozen or 10 accounts that you think are going to provide him with some good solid information. They will have to be people that he would actually listen to, so I’m not sure what his age is or what he’s all about but you would know that. Dr. Steve Turley is more conservative, and more of a common sense positive outlook on things and very knowledgeable and written books about the inevitable rise of conservative ism In America. Tim pool is very centrist, but more recently is definitely a Trump fan and voted for Trump. He is a very balanced view of news, which is important. Then there is salty cracker and he is very outspoken and uses a lot of dirty language but he’s my favorite. Once you have a bunch of subscriptions, whatever Your dad goes to the YouTube app on TV which is very simple, then everything that he subscribed to a pop up in his feed. They’ll be recommendations for other things as well, and if there’s anything else that he likes you can always add to it later and if there’s something he doesn’t like you can remove it. It’s very simple once you figure it out he could actually do it himself once you get him acclimated. Let me know if you have any issues and I’ll try and help as much as I can.
Samsung smart TV got newsmax, it's free and built in and no hassle

Thanks!
I have a Roku tv. It has apps for streaming TV. Pluto is really good- has Newsmax, America’s Voice and OANN encore. It’s free.
A Roku TV is super easy to use.
Thanks. I think I have to get him one, but I know I myself go crazy with all the different remotes. I hope I can fix it to make it easy.
There’s only one remote for the tv- that remote does everything for Roku / tv
I'm doing something wrong. I have to use one to put on the device my internet provider gave me, one to put on my Vizio, then I generally have a period of confusion as I put on the Roku but I have no channels to choose from, and finally the Roku starts working if I find the right spot between all the three.
Your set up is different than mine. My TV is a Roku TV. The brand is TCL- bought it at Walmart. The TV connects to my home internet wirelessly- only one remote.
Seems like your Roku box is connected by cable to internet and by cable to the TV.
Since I never watch TV, I just have a Vizio monitor to watch, it's not a smart TV or anything, it's more like a monitor on steroids. The Roku device is plugged into the back of it. The Vizio is plugged into the cable box from Optimum (my only choice alas). I only try this concoctiion every couple of months, so by then each device on the chain has shut itself down. So I have to power on each thing, wonder if the Roku actually went on, etc. I didn't realize there were Roku TVs. If I get a bigger monitor, I will get what you have. Thank you.
I can get that onto his TV? I know I have it on my phone but he's not using that.
