This, and silver nitrate ink for the thumbprint, which can't be washed off for a week or two. Easily tell who's already cast a ballot.

Sometimes Hanlon's Razor is wrong.

That is: The entire point of doing it the way they're doing it is to be able to screw with it. The "Powers That Be" are all well aware it's effed. This is precisely why they hate Trump.

They had a decade+ of driving people "Away from the evil Diebold machines!" ... to what we learn are Soros machine in 2016.

"Somehow" Hillary didn't win. But. They decided "Wait ... something's not right here ... she should have won!" This idea is precisely why there's suck a large chunk that refuses to give up the idea of "Russian Hacking!" ... Because the fix was in. And broke. Somehow.

Enter "Mail in voting" ... that is, "Yes, you blew tens of millions on these machines, but we need to switch now now now!"

They effed it up because they needed to eff it up .

My personal machine would be a touch screen that prints a ballot with only your choices and a crypto/mystery number. That is, my ballot could look like this:

President: Donald J. Trump

Vice-President: Mike Pence

...

Governor: Culp

Lt. Gov (write in): Joshua Freed

That is: My ballot has NOTHING to be confused about even on the ballot. The paper is itself "security paper", the ink is special ink, the code is there, my fingerprints will be there ... there's a perfect "audit" if need be. There's no "spoiling ballots" without me involved somehow (stamp + second slot, something).

They just don't want a perfect voting system.

This is a good idea. There are some issues that would need to be figured out, but I was thinking about this earlier, and it's better than anything I came up with.
