The second time you rig it, you can point to the first time and say the numbers line up, and call anyone who argues a conspiracy theorist. Also would be harder for someone comparing to previous elections to find the discrepancy in the first place.
But with that said, yes we should keep track of it but take a bit of care not to push it too hard without more confirmation.
