Just did a crash course in Benford's Law and it's not really compatible with the data of a single county. The issues are that 1) the data samples, even when done by ward are too few and 2) city planners attempt to divide the wards evenly. So when you have a homogenous community, like Chicago, they tend to vote in patterns. I wish I had a country wide tally from all wards. If I did, then I could compare the contested states vs the rest of the country. In that scenario Benford's law might be a valuable tool.
