So, quite simply, it behaves exactly as expected until a specific date, and/or time. This most basic approach renders testing and securing the machines as irrelevant. *To your point, this is why auditing is important. However, water follows the path of least resistance.

Its just odd they would something so easily hackable at this point. Technology updates to combat failures,hacks, and vulnerabilities. If the government knows when I get over paid for $1, and can navigate the insane tax code, negligence is the only excuse when it comes to having a margin of error in voting. Be better off counting rocks like the greeks did.i do think the "cultural husbandry" tweets do show that with mail in voting it is easier to catch fraud based on the constant of the mail system.
