Generally you can only vote for the one party in a primary as you are either voting in the Democrat or Republican primaries.

Right. All the other republican options were there. But not presidential.

He might not have been primaried in that state. If he was on your ballot the other day, then they didn’t suppress the vote for him.

Interesting. I thought it was weird the day of and did go and check the next day to see the turn out of the primary. Trump did get votes in the primaries for president but I am not sure how? I def didn't have the option. As I mentioned in another comment I voted republican for everyone else. I can not tell by logging in the voter website my current affiliation but can def see that I apparently requested and returned a ballot which I def did not.

Sounds like you just voted in the Democrats' primary.

No, they were both on March 3rd. I voted for all other republicans. John Klar is the main reason I went to vote.

Definitely weird. I wonder if you could still find a sample ballot on the state website.

I just tried... see edit above. I did just find out that I " requested a ballot" and sent it back in though. 😳😳😳😳😳😱😱😱😱😱😱

I never thought to check Vermont. I moved since the primaries to a red state. Could they find out I moved by my forwarding address?

Sounds like you only voted in the Democrat primary. Your state has open primaries, so it looks like you could have voted in both.

No. I know it is open. It doesn't work like that. I voted republican for everyone else. No pres option for Trump. Any other vermonters vote?

I just looked up an image of a sample Vermont 2020 primary ballot.

It was democrat only.

So you had to have 2 ballots or a republican ballot.

Edit: no, you're right...thr sample of the Republican ballot had no spot for President.

Trump may have been virtually uncontested by then, but weird.

I don't know.

Photos would have been helpful.

Are you a registered republican? If the answer is Y then you should be able vote for trump in the primaries and he should have been on the ballot

Yes.
