My SDI was just a Sgt when he picked up our platoon. On the hump back to the barracks from the rifle range, the whole Company stopped on the BWT flight line and the Company Commander, Captain Cotton, held a meritorious promotion to SSgt for him. He was a hard charger.
Some of the brothers I made at Parris Island served with me the entire time I was in the fleet and and we are still friends to this day nearly 30 years later.
Not a marine but love and respect our service men. I do think marines are the most badass just before Navy SEALs. I always thank every veteran/active duty guy I see, so thank you for your service, Pede.
